Dublin City Development Plan: Public Meeting with Patrick Costello TD

Dublin City Development Plan 2022-2028

The Dublin City development plan sets out the framework within which the council will work in the coming years. It covers housing, business and retail, transport, parks, waterways, sports and recreation. All decisions made by the council will be shaped by what is agreed in this plan.

Make Your Voice Heard

Over the remaining time to 22 February, individual residents, community groups, businesses and other organisations can make submissions to the council and have their say on what the development plan should include.

Meetings

In late January the Dublin South-Central Green Party held an online meeting with Ciarán Cuffe MEP to talk about the plan, explain how the consultation process works and how to make submissions.

A second public meeting will be held on Thursday 11th February at 8pm, and will be addressed by Patrick Costello, TD for Dublin South-Central. Prior to his election to the Dáil in 2020, Patrick was a local councillor for the Kimmage-Rathmines area and worked on the previous City Development Plan.

Patrick will offer insight into the process of creating the plan, discuss submissions from previous years, and offer advice on how to make your contributions count. After Patrick’s initial presentation, we will invite local councillors and other attendees to propose their own ideas, talk about actions the council could take, and possibly work on joint submissions.
